I like your idea Suraj. If I were less poor a tablet would be the perfect option. I really like the idea of keeping my notes digitally. I usually end up writing them all on paper then copying them all into electronic form when I get back to my computer, quite annoying.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve noticed tablet PC’s coming down in price so hopefully soon they’ll be in my own price range .

Hi guys,

Following along on your note taking addiction, I’ve found using a tablet and Microsoft one note helpful, except that my tablet is a big huge (14″) and I still prefer a notebook.

I’d recommend a very small tablet.

I haven’t found a better software for rough sketching and notebook like note taking than one note, though I don’t like it for sketching that much… ( you only have pens! )

I find that very same problem! All over my desk there are notes with diagrams of missile paths, code snippits etc. I like the idea of a personal wiki however it would be good to have something that could be used away from a computer. Perhaps a tablet PC with a wiki on it is the perfect solution . It would also allow adding sketches/diagrams.

As for notebooks, don’t you have that problem that any slice of paper that’s around eventually gets filled with some notes? I’ve got this all the time, even though I’ve bought specific notebooks – there’s always some sketches in my job book, and some job diagrams in my personal scripts… I’ve started using a personal wiki to keep track of idea’s, but the sketches are still a problem. Oh well.
