Hi fuba, yes that is me (the same Greg). This interview took place before I was involved with Unlimited Detail. Unfortunately I won't be able to answer questions about the UD technology or business for a while, but do look forward to doing so in future.

I've a question: Is Greg Douglas in any way related with the "Unlimited Detail Technology" because I've found his name on the site: http://unlimiteddetailtechnology.com/contact.html

Just stumbled upon this site by accident. Great interview. I think my dad bought that 3D home design kit for my mom for Christmas last year. hilarious. engine programmers have to be some of the most structured and intelligent people I know of. In an ideal world they would all quit programming and rush over to public service. it takes someone with an engineering education to even appreciate the levity of their ability *ahem*, but this skill remains largely and entirely out of the public spotlight. regular (non-technical) people are still convinced that games appear by magic, and have no idea the kinds of discipline, intelligence, years of work and deal-making that go on behind the walls of dev-studios to produce a finished product.

anyway, great post. reminds me that I need to go brush up on my .NET a little.

cheers
